First: remove applications and extensions
Open Chrome and remove extensions that it doesn’t recognise. Then uninstall all recently installed programs that you don’t use.
Second: Run a virus scan
Use an antivirus programme to scan your entire system. The best programme I’ve used is called ‘Norton’.
Third: Remove malicious software
After your antivirus has finished scanning for viruses, remove any malicious software it finds.
Fourth: Stay secure
You need to be careful not to get reinfected with malware. Norton is a good choice because it has real-time protection, a malware scanner, antiphishing protection, and more. Norton also offers a 60-day money-back guarantee.
If Google Chrome redirects to Bing, you may be a victim of cyber hijacking.
Cyber hijacking is a very dangerous attack that can illegally access your personal and corporate information and even cause financial losses, so you should remove it as soon as possible.
Uninstall all recently installed applications and extensions, and then
Reset your internet browser settings to their default settings, and run a full scan of your PC with an antivirus programme.
There are many more dangerous viruses besides the ransomware and Trojans that antiviruses are known for.
Without a full scan, there’s no way to know if you’re infected with malware.
